The Buchla LEM 208 Stored Program Source, also known as the Music Easel Module is a feature laden additive synthesizer, housed inside a portable suitcase chassis that also includes enough space to hold and power four 200E series modules. Buchlas LEM 208 system allows you to have all the sounds from the Music Easel, but it goes a step further, by removing the 218 Keyboard thus providing space for four E series modules, meaning you can make a portable, powerful Buchla modular that’s all housed in a rugged Buchla branded suitcase. The LEM 208 provides all the essential building blocks for crafting incredibly unique and interesting tones, when coupled with a group of random voltages, extra oscillators and other controllers, you can craft a very unique, portable and powerful modular system, with the LEM 208 at it’s core. For example, you could theoretically have a 259E routed into the external input, thus giving you an extra complex tone generator…very cool. All Easel expansion cards, including the AUX Card are compatible with the LEM 208, so there’s even more modulation and sound design possibilities right there.
