Synth polifonico con 3 oscillatori per voci, due parti e 16 voci

Realizzato partendo dalle solide basi del suo pluripremiato sintetizzatore polifonico Peak, Summit rappresenta attualmente il punto più alto dello sviluppo Novation per un synth con tastiera a 61 tasti, tre oscillatori per voce (New Oxford Oscillators) e 16 voci di polifonia, perfetto per l'utilizzo dal vivo o in studio. Summit di fatto permette di avere a disposizione due Peak, consentendo split e layer sulla tastiera di patch completamente indipendenti, ma non è soltanto l'equivalente della somma di due Peak perché garantisce anche un'ampia gamma di funzionalità supplementari. Il layout di Peak è ulteriormente esteso con molti controlli 'nascosti' e funzioni accessibili sul pannello frontale come il routing FM, LFO 3 e 4, tutti i parametri dell'arpeggiatore, con l'aggiunta di pitch e mod wheels. Summit dispone anche di numerose nuove opzioni per i filtri e integra un ingresso audio per il processamento di sorgenti esterne con i suoi effetti di riverbero, chorus e delay. Il centro nevralgico di Summit è costituito da tre oscillatori digitali New Oxford Oscillators per voce, ospitati sul chip FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) con due tecniche di generazione della forma d’onda: NCO (Numerically-Controlled Oscillators) e 17 wavetable digitali. Oltre alla generazione di forme d'onda perfettamente "analogue-style" ad una risoluzione elevatissima, questa architettura del sintetizzatore garantisce anche sintesi wavetable e FM. Il percorso del segnale comprende poi doppi filtri, tre stadi di distorsione e VCA tutto rigorosamente in dominio analogico. Caratteristiche principali
