Waves PuigChild Compressor recreates with extreme fidelity the warm, open and powerful sound of the Fairchild 660 and 670 compressors. Having become iconic from the 1950s onward, these processors are still synonymous with unparalleled quality for vocals, drums, mix buss and mastering.

A master-supervised modeling job

Developed under the supervision of producer and engineer Jack Joseph Puig, this plug-in is modeled on perfectly preserved "golden" hardware units, personally selected to reproduce every sonic detail of the original compressors.

Transparent or creative compression

PuigChild is capable of sculpting complex dynamics while maintaining a natural sound, ideal even for driven compressions such as the legendary "Ringo drum sound." The 6 time constant curves intuitively adjust attack and release, while the 10-step threshold allows fast and precise adjustment.

Versatility for every scenario

The 670 works in stereo, dual mono or mid/side modes, while the 660 is perfect for mono tracks with lower CPU consumption. Analog noise (50/60 Hz) can also be added for even more authentic realism.
