Intellijel XFADE 1U: stereo crossfade from DJ mixer into your Eurorack

XFADE 1U is a DJ-style stereo crossfader designed to blend two sources (A and B) in a musical and controllable way. Each side has L+R inputs, and the slider mixes the two signals according to its position and selected curve. The result is available on the MIX L and MIX R outputs, perfect for transitions, tone morphing, and live performance.

Not just audio: XFADE 1U can also become a modulation source

In addition to audio mixing, the module can function as a control voltage generator: from the CV A and CV B outputs you get two complementary CVs linked to the fader position. A selector switch sets unipolar (0-5V / 5-0V) or bipolar (-5--+5V / +5--5V) mode. The two LEDs immediately show polarity and relative CV level.

Feeling like a real mixer: precision Innofader™

At the heart of the control is an Innofader™ Mini-Innofader submodule with "moving capacitance" technology: an extremely smooth (almost frictionless) ride and precise response, the same family of components used on many high-end DJ mixers.

Crossfade curves and system integration

Choose from three forms of crossfade - DJ Cut, Constant Power and Linear - to adapt the response to fast cuts, energetic blends or linear transitions. The inputs/outputs are DC-coupled, so you can work with both audio and CV, and you can use it in stereo or mono. The output is also chainable to compatible Intellijel modules (Outs, Mixup and Stereo Mixer 1U) via the included 3-pin cable.
