The REDD.47 Special Edition is the result of years of research and collection of vintage components by Wade Goeke, designer of Chandler Limited. This tube preamplifier re-imagines the iconic sound of the REDD.51 console, used in EMI's Abbey Road studios, in a modern key. The circuit, true to the original, is made with 53 vintage components from the 1960s and 1970s, carefully selected for sonic authenticity.
Includes Piher (EMI, Neve, Marshall), ISKRA (Marshall, British amps) and German Beyschlag/ERO resistors used in vintage European designs.
Mounted Siemens, Wima, Roederstein, ERO, and Mullard's famous "tropical fish" capacitors, known for outstanding sound quality.
The layout is reminiscent of the original REDD cassettes, with the new bright EMI sign. In addition to the REDD.47 signal path, the Special Edition also incorporates sections of the REDD.51: Input Sensitivity, Line Input, and Bass Lift.
