ALM Busy Circuits Axon-1 is a 4 HP Eurorack expander that adds 4 freely assignable CV inputs to compatible ALM modules: Squid Sample, MFX, MCO, and Pamela’s PRO Workout. Just a few extra centimeters of rack space to multiply the control points of your sampler, effects processor, or clock generator, and transform your patch into something much more dynamic and unpredictable.

With the Axon-1, the total number of CV inputs on the main module increases by 4. Each input can be assigned to any available parameter, paving the way for much broader manipulation of Squid’s sampling programs, MFX’s effect algorithms, or Pamela’s PRO Workout’s outputs. More simultaneous modulations, more movement, and more real-time control over what you used to manage manually.

Digital attenuation and offset for each assignment

Each modulation assignment has its own digital attenuation and offset and behaves exactly like the main module’s built-in CV inputs. You don’t have to learn a new workflow: you configure the Axon-1’s inputs using the same logic you’re already familiar with, and precisely control how much and how each CV source affects the parameter.

ALM Eurorack Expander Integrated into Banks and Power Supply

All Axon-1 assignments and settings are saved along with the banks, so you’ll find your modulation setup every time you load a project. The expander is powered directly by the module to which it’s connected, eliminating the need for an additional power connector on the bus. At 38 mm deep, it fits easily even in skiff cases.

Firmware Required for the Squid Sample

If you’re using Axon-1 with the Squid Sample, the module must have firmware version 166 or later installed. The update procedure is described in the Squid manual and is performed using a USB flash drive.
