Eventide Blackhole is the plug-in version of the famous ambient reverb found in the H9 series and the historic Eventide DSP4000 hardware processors. Known for its immense tails, ethereal textures and sonic spaces impossible to achieve with traditional reverbs, Blackhole has become an iconic tool for sound designers, electronic producers, composers and ambient musicians.

Unlike classic realistic reverbs, Blackhole is designed to create unreal and deeply musical sound environments. Its soft, enveloping harmonic tails enhance guitars, pads, strings, synths, and vocals, transforming any source into a broad, cinematic spatial texture.

Blackhole is capable of both delicate and refined ambient effects and huge atmospheric drones and abstract soundscapes. With advanced controls, it is possible to switch quickly from soft, musical reverbs to extreme effects that seem to warp space and time within the mix.

Gravity, Ribbon and HotSwitch for advanced creative control

The famous Gravity control allows you to reverse the behavior of reverb decay, creating highly original evolutionary and reverse reverb effects. The Ribbon and HotSwitch, on the other hand, allow simultaneous modification of multiple parameters in real time, providing an ideal performance workflow both in the studio and live.

Professional presets and full DAW integration

Blackhole includes more than 50 professional presets also created by Eventide artists, designed to cover realistic environments, giant spaces and experimental textures. The plug-in also supports flexible mono and stereo configurations, Mix Lock, advanced automations, and full integration with Native Instruments NKS.
