CV Expander with 4 Inputs, Offset, and Performance Buttons - 8HP
The ALM Busy Circuits Axon-2 is an 8 HP expander for Squid Sample, MFX, Pamela’s PRO Workout, MCO, and Quaid Gigaslope. Like the Axon-1, it adds 4 freely assignable CV inputs, but it goes further: each input has a manual offset knob, and two large performance buttons put the most frequently used functions right at your fingertips during live performances. More modulation, more direct control, and a more physical way to play ALM modules.
With the Axon-2, the number of CV inputs on the main module increases by four, paving the way for much more extensive manipulation of samples, effects, clocks, and oscillators. Each input can be freely assigned to the host module’s parameters, and for each assignment, digital attenuation and offset remain available to precisely fine-tune the intensity of the modulation.
Each CV input features a dedicated offset knob. You can use it to shift the starting point of a modulation or, with nothing connected, as a direct manual control for the assigned parameter. In essence, the Axon-2 adds four knobs to your module, ready to be played.
The two large buttons are designed to control selected functions during a live performance, or to provide convenient navigation shortcuts when you’re editing. Depending on the host module, they can handle mute, tap tempo, navigation, and other functions: the assignment options depend on the host module and are described in their respective manuals.
Support for the Axon-2 requires the latest firmware on the main module: version 120 or later for Pamela’s PRO Workout, 187 or later for Squid Sample, and 105 or later for MFX.
