The Erica Synths EDU Labor Assembled is a comprehensive platform for designing, testing, and learning analog electronics. Designed for students, makers, musicians, and modular synthesis enthusiasts alike, it arrives fully assembled and ready to use, allowing you to start experimenting immediately without any soldering.
Developed in collaboration with Dr. Shalom D. Ruben of the University of Colorado, Labor is an educational and professional tool that allows you to design, develop, and test electronic circuits directly on the integrated breadboard. You can create filters, oscillators, envelope generators, sequencers, and numerous other analog circuits by following the educational kits in the EDU DIY series or by developing completely custom projects.
The Labor Scope module, which comes pre-installed as standard, features a convenient three-channel oscilloscope that allows you to view waveforms in real time during the design process. This makes signal analysis simple and immediate, facilitating both learning and circuit debugging.
The system includes a dual power supply compatible with Eurorack standards, equipped with short-circuit protection. The modular interface section offers 16 slots for installing potentiometers, jacks, and switches, allowing you to quickly configure the control panel according to your project’s needs.
To speed up prototyping, Labor integrates numerous essential analog blocks, including a sine wave oscillator, triangular, and pulse waveform oscillators usable in both the audio range and as LFOs, a multimode envelope generator with a built-in Cherry switch, a buffered control voltage source, and an output amplifier with adjustable gain.
The package includes everything you need to get started right away: a power supply, jumper cables, pre-assembled interface components, and a wide selection of electronic components. The protective cover also allows you to safely store your breadboard-mounted circuits between work sessions.
