Wide-diaphragm condenser microphone
The Sanken CU-41 (Used) is a professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone in used condition, designed to deliver extremely faithful and natural sound reproduction. Born from a collaboration between Sanken and the Japanese public broadcaster NHK, it remains one of the most innovative achievements in the world of studio microphones thanks to its exclusive dual-capsule technology.
At the heart of the Sanken CU-41 is an exclusive Two-Way Capsule system, an extremely rare solution in the world of condenser microphones. Two independent capsules operate simultaneously:
The two signals are internally combined into a single mono output with a 1 kHz crossover, resulting in an extremely flat and consistent frequency response across the entire sound spectrum.
Both capsules use 1-micron titanium diaphragms, a design that makes the microphone particularly resistant to changes in temperature, humidity, and material aging.
This construction ensures consistent performance over time and high reliability even in the most demanding recording environments.
Thanks to its extremely neutral frequency response and pure cardioid polar pattern, the CU-41 is particularly well-suited for:
The microphone’s distinctive linear response is not limited to the on-axis direction but remains very uniform even off-axis, providing a natural reproduction of the environment and sound sources.
The microphone body features a refined Satin Nickel finish and is equipped with a transformer-balanced output, a solution prized for its musical sound character and high reliability.
The microphone comes with a Rycote shock mount.
