The Schoeps A 20 S is an elastic suspension designed for microphones with a diameter of 20 or 21 mm, such as the CMC 6 preamplifier of the Schoeps Colette modular system. This version uses stiffer rubber bands than the standard A 20 suspension, providing superior isolation from structural vibrations.

The A 20 S suspension is designed for professional applications where greater vibration reduction is required. Due to the increased stiffness of the rubber bands, it offers better performance than the standard A 20 when the microphone is mounted on booms, stands or other configurations subject to mechanical vibration.

Ideal for booms and active accessories

This suspension is particularly suitable when using active accessories such as S 250 C, GVC or CUT 60, or when the microphone is mounted on boom arms. In these situations, the additional isolation provided by the stiffer rubber bands helps reduce structure-borne noise.

Stable and adjustable mounting

The stand allows the microphone to be tilted to any desired angle to achieve ideal positioning during recording. In addition, there is a special clip for securing the cable, which is useful for reducing noise caused by cable movement.

Compatibility with professional stands

The suspension base has a 5/8"-27 NS internal thread, compatible with most professional microphone stands. Adapters for 3/8" and 1/2" threads are included to ensure maximum compatibility with different mounting configurations.
