The BSS AR-133 is one of the most popular and popular active DI boxes in the live and studio world. Designed to provide a clean, isolated balanced signal, it allows you to connect instruments, keyboards, DJ mixers, amplifier outputs, and many other electronic sources directly to professional PA systems or mixing consoles.

With its balanced transformer and audio circuitry derived from the AR series, considered by many to be a reference standard, the AR-133 offers extremely transparent and reliable sound quality in even the most demanding applications.

Maximum connection flexibility for instruments and line level

The BSS AR-133 DI Box features 1/4" jack and XLR inputs that allow it to handle unbalanced signals from instruments, keyboards, DJ consoles and other audio sources. The balanced XLR output enables stable, interference-free signal transmission even over long cable runs.

There is also a link jack output that allows the original signal to be sent to an amplifier or other devices, keeping the audio stream parallel without alteration.

Attenuation pad for any signal level

The attenuation switch allows you to choose between 0, -20 or -40 dB, making the AR-133 compatible with different signal levels: musical instruments, line signals or even amplifier outputs.

Ground Lift to eliminate noise and ground loops

The handy Ground Lift switch allows the XLR output ground to be disconnected from the unit's chassis, offering an immediate solution to hum problems caused by ground loops in audio systems.

Phantom or battery power for maximum reliability

The BSS AR-133 can be powered by phantom power from a mixer or stage box or by an internal 9V battery. If phantom power is accidentally cut off, the system automatically switches to battery power ensuring operational continuity during live performances or recording sessions.

A status LED indicates the power mode: continuous light with phantom power on or flashing when the unit is on battery power.

Rugged construction for live use

The extruded aluminum chassis with insulating side guards makes the AR-133 extremely durable for heavy use on stage. The arched shape of the case also allows cables to be routed under the unit, facilitating tidy management of cabling.
