The DPA 2006A represents excellence in omnidirectional condenser microphones thanks to its twin-diaphragm capsule. Two miniaturized capsules, modified and mounted in opposition, ensure a precise and realistic sound response, combining the advantages of small capsules with the quietness typical of larger diaphragms.

Linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a soft boost around 14 kHz, makes the DPA 2006A perfect for capturing acoustic sources in controlled environments. Its fast impulse response captures every detail, while its low noise level also makes it ideal for critical recordings.

Modular flexibility with interchangeable preamplifiers

The modular design of the DPA 2006A allows the Twin Diaphragm capsule to be used with different Pencil series preamplifiers. The MMP-A preamplifier, for example, offers ultra-transparent sound due to the absence of a transformer and active signal balancing.
