EVIL PET is a creative box designed for those who want to experiment with sound: it can function as a polyphonic synthesizer, stereo granular processor, sampler/recorder, and FM radio. It is the ideal tool for sound design, live sets and electronic production, when you want to start from a real sound and turn it into something totally new.

Stereo granular processor: controlled micro-grains, textures and glitches

EVIL PET "breaks" audio into small grains and reproduces them in creative and unexpected ways. You can stretch, compress, or invert the grains to create drones, moving pads, glitch effects, "swirling" environments, and complex sound carpets. Works with any input: vocals, guitar, synths, drums and line sources.

Inputs, microphone, FM radio and microSD: 4 ways to fuel creativity

The granular engine can work on audio from the inputs, from the built-in microphone (perfect for recording on the fly), from the FM tuner ("on the go" samples, noises, music and local atmospheres) or from samples uploaded to microSD, with slots on the front panel.

MIDI/MPE and 8 voices: from granular FX to expressive polyphonic synth

In addition to activation via PLAY button, the grains can be played as an instrument: up to 8 polyphonic voices via MIDI or MPE. In this way EVIL PET becomes a performance platform for polyphonic lines, chords, expressive gestures and improvisation.

Design and control: mechanical keys and OLED display

The mechanical keys offer precise and immediate tactile feedback, while the 2.42-inch monochrome OLED display provides clear reading and useful visualization of waveforms and moving grains. The glossy look helps make the instrument recognizable and "desktop-ready" to be turned on and used.
