SSL EV2 Channel is the next generation of the legendary SSL 4000E channel strip, officially licensed by Solid State Logic and modeled by Waves with proprietary Precision Analog Component technology. Every single component of the original hardware has been precisely recreated from a meticulously maintained SSL console to deliver deep, detailed and authentic analog sound.

The plug-in offers unprecedented sonic fidelity by combining your choice between two historic EQ models: the aggressive and "edgy" EQ Brown Knob 'O2' and the more transparent and versatile EQ Black Knob '242'. For the first time, you can freely select which EQ curve to use, depending on the sound context.

Another key new feature is the SSL microphone and line preamp simulation, famous for its ability to saturate musically. By activating the "Analog" option, you can add harmonic distortion (THD) for an authentic analog character, or work in "clean" mode for a crystal-clear sound.

The dynamics section includes soft-knee compressor/limiter, expander/gate and versatile sidechain. You can change the order of processing between EQ, filters and dynamics to sculpt the sound extremely precisely, just as on hardware consoles.

Completing the package is a collection of more than 600 presets created by some of the world's greatest producers and engineers-Joe Barresi, Tom Lord-Alge, Tony Maserati, Dave Pensado, Jack Joseph Puig, and many others.
