The ALM Busy Circuits 84 HP 3U is a simple and compact Eurorack case with an integrated power supply, designed for small, specialized systems—whether for travel or to complement a larger setup on your desk. Originally developed for the System Coupe, the ALM case garnered such interest that it evolved into a range of sizes, each available individually. Its anodized aluminum construction, power switch, rubber feet, and high-quality powered bus board make it a solid foundation for your modular system.

ALM Eurorack Case in Anodized Aluminum: Lightweight and Sturdy

The all-anodized aluminum construction is durable yet lightweight, with a total weight of approximately 0.9 kg. Its proportions are designed to sit comfortably on a table or desk—with a compact yet sufficient depth—and to fit easily into a bag. The external dimensions are 440 x 132 x 66 mm.

Fixed mounting rails with M3 threads

Instead of sliding nuts, which are often frustrating to position, the case uses fixed mounting rails with M3 threads. Screwing in the modules is quick and precise, with no screws spinning freely or nuts shifting out of place. The usable depth accommodates modules up to 42 mm, equivalent to approximately two stacked PCBs: all ALM modules fit without issue.

Integrated low-noise Eurorack power supply

The fixed bus board provides ample power and numerous keyed connectors, allowing you to connect up to 16 modules without the risk of polarity reversal. The +12 V and -12 V lines deliver up to 1 A each, with a specified ripple of 100 mV at full load. There is no +5 V line.

Shielded DC/DC Converter with Protections

The shielded DC/DC converter ensures a low-noise power supply and includes overload and short-circuit protection. The enclosure is powered by an included external 12 V power supply, featuring a 2.1 mm barrel connector (center positive), and includes a power switch.

ALM Accessories and Chassis Lineup

For the 3U, 84 HP format, the Decksaver cover is available separately; it is ideal for protecting modules and knobs during transport. The ALM chassis lineup also includes 6U and 9U 84 HP formats and 3U and 6U 52 HP formats, as well as a 3U 84 HP 19-inch rack-mountable version, allowing you to expand your system while maintaining the same build quality.
