Koma Elektronik Detective 1U: the dynamic control that follows the sound

The Koma Elektronik Detective 1U is a simple yet extremely versatile Envelope Follower designed to convert the dynamics of an audio signal into a control voltage (CV). Each amplitude change is translated into a continuous signal that can modulate other modules in your Eurorack system, adding motion and responsiveness to patches.

Extracting motion from sound

Simply insert any audio signal and Detective 1U will follow its shape, returning a CV proportional to the amplitude and a Gate whenever the level exceeds the set threshold. With the dedicated Threshold control, you can adjust the sensitivity of the module to suit different sources-from clean audio signals to complex percussion or noise.

Small, powerful and immediate

Its compact size makes it ideal for 1U systems, but its patching possibilities are enormous. You can use Detective 1U to create synchronized modulations, open filters based on a track's volume, control effects, or even turn a rhythm signal into a trigger generator.
