Since 1970 the 1073 has been synonymous with warmth, punch and harmonic depth. The 1073 LB retains the pure Class A circuit and uses hand-designed and hand-wound Neve transformers, ensuring the typical musical saturation and three-dimensionality that have defined thousands of record productions.

Marinair transformers and fully balanced stage.

Both microphone and line inputs are transformer balanced and groundless, ensuring isolation and superior sound quality. The output is also transformer balanced, maintaining integrity and high headroom.

Professional controls and operational flexibility

The module integrates gain control in steps of -80 dB to -20 dB for microphone input and -20 dB to +10 dB for line input, in 5-dB steps. Trim allows fine adjustment (+5/-20 dB) with built-in phantom power. There are phase and impedance switches and front input with intelligent switching combi XLR connector.

Integrated Insert for Advanced Processing

The design with Audio Processing Insert allows adjacent modules such as 1073 LBEQ or 2264ALB installed in the same 500-series rack to be inserted into the signal path, providing a complete recording chain right in the lunchbox.
