The Schoeps CMC6 + MK5 Stereo Set is a modular condenser microphone system designed for professional stereo recordings. The set includes two CMC6 preamplifiers and two MK5 capsules with selectable omnidirectional and cardioid polar pattern.

Due to its great versatility, this stereo set is ideal for such recording techniques as AB, XY, ORTF and NOS, making it particularly suitable for orchestral recordings, acoustic ensembles, classical music, ambient recording and broadcast productions.

Schoeps Colette modular system

The Schoeps Colette modular system allows the CMC6 preamplifier to be combined with several MK series capsules. This modular architecture allows sound engineers to adapt the microphone to different shooting situations while maintaining the highest sound quality at all times.

The CMC6 preamplifier guarantees an extremely clean signal with great dynamics and a very low noise floor.

Schoeps MK5 capsules with dual directivity

Schoeps MK5 capsules feature a mechanical switch that allows you to quickly select between two different polar patterns: omnidirectional and cardioid.

Omnidirectional mode

In omni mode, the capsules offer a very extended frequency response and natural room pickup, ideal for orchestral recordings, acoustic ensembles and ambient stereo techniques.

Cardioid mode

The cardioid mode allows greater focus on the sound source, being particularly useful for more directional stereo techniques and acoustically complex environments.
