The Wolff Audio FREQ EQ is a 4-band parametric analog equalizer designed to offer maximum precision and flexibility in 500 Series format. Born from Paul Wolff's more than 40 years of design experience, this EQ represents a perfect balance of surgical control and musicality.

Thanks to Proportional Q behavior, the bandwidth automatically narrows as boost or cut increases, allowing natural interventions in light adjustments and extremely precise corrections in harder operations.

Advanced Proportional Q with up to 1/3-octave control

Unlike classic proportional Q EQs, the FREQ goes a step further by introducing the ability to work down to 1/3 octave. This allows extremely targeted surgery on problematic frequencies while maintaining the possibility of wide and musical EQs.

Wide mode and advanced band control

The HIGH and LOW bands include a Wide mode that transforms filter behavior into a wide 3-octave curve, ideal for shaping sound without introducing artifacts typical of traditional shelving. The MID bands, on the other hand, offer 1/3-octave blocking for extreme precision interventions.

Sound transparency and high-quality components

The FREQ EQ uses a custom Cinemag nickel and steel output transformer designed to provide transparency without coloration. This makes it perfect for both subtle corrections and more drastic interventions, always maintaining signal integrity and fidelity.
