DPA 4015A Stereo Pair: cardioid aperture and maximum stereo fidelity

The DPA 4015A stereo set offers an ideal solution for recordings requiring naturalness and amplitude, combining a wide cardioid pattern with the highest quality components. Thanks to the linearity of the off-axis response, the acoustic environment is realistically reproduced without compromising the definition of the main sources.

Why choose a wide cardioid stereo pair?

The wide cardioid pattern is perfect for instruments with complex output (such as piano, marimba, percussion), orchestral ensembles and vocals. This configuration allows you to capture a larger sound area while maintaining control and separation between sources. Ideal for ensemble recordings, chamber music and stereo ambient shots.

Sound accuracy and resistance to extreme levels

The 4015A has a built-in -20 dB attenuator that allows it to handle SPL peaks up to 159 dB without distortion. It is therefore perfect for dynamic applications where wide dynamic range is required without sacrificing sonic transparency.

Modular compatibility with DPA preamplifiers.

You can combine the 4015A capsule with a wide range of DPA preamplifiers: from the transparent MMP-A to the compact MMP-C to the wired MMP-E and MMP-G modules for wireless or low-profile setups.
