The Koma Elektronik Contact Microphones Pack of 2 is a set consisting of two contact microphones (20 mm and 27 mm diameter) designed to capture vibrations and mechanical sounds from any surface or object. Perfect for use with the Koma Field Kit, modular systems or for experimental microphoning, these sensors transform materials, instruments and surfaces into unique sound sources.
Each microphone is hand-welded and then coated in a special liquid plastic that protects the welds and increases their durability. This technique, achieved through special immersion robots developed by Koma Elektronik, ensures excellent mechanical strength and effective isolation, even in live performance environments or interactive installations.
Use them to mic surfaces, acoustic instruments, metal objects or structures. Combined with the Field Kit or preamp modules, contact mics allow you to explore the "physical" sound of the world: resonances, vibrations, and otherwise inaudible details.
