Uranograph is an electronic instrument that combines the expressive depth of classical instruments with the possibilities of synthesis. It is a complete ecosystem designed for experimental live performance, where every gesture, touch and modulation is sculpted in real time.

An instrument, not a controller

The tactile plate keyboard is not just an input: it is the expressive heart of Uranograph. From the lightest touch to the deepest pressure you can bend, grow, brighten or fade a note using only your fingers, with an "instrumental" response that invites you to develop technique and control.

Microtones and customizable layouts

Uranograph is ideal for non-standard tunings: each key can be assigned to any pure pitch or frequency, with wide freedom in designing layout and tuning.

Sound engine: additive + phase morphing with "west-coast" character

The digital engine blends additive and phase-morphing with a west-coast style shaping approach for rough, ancient, alien timbres: from warm, bell-like tones to sharp, metallic textures.

Harmonics per key and harmonic aliasing

Thanks to the harmonic aliasing system, each keyplate can activate up to three voices in harmony according to custom intervals: creates single-key chords, harmonic overlays, modulated density, and continuously moving textures.

Control keyboard: gestural modulation in real time

In addition to the note keyboard, Uranograph integrates a tactile control surface dedicated to dynamic sound transformation. No traditional wheels or faders: here modulation is gestural, immediate and performative.

Uranograph includes internal and external source processing, with effects designed for performance and sound design.

• Stereo "morphing" delay: from rhythmic repeats to Karplus-Strong-like resonances for polyrhythmic textures and spectral shaping
• Single-controlled (diffuse)reverb: from narrow rooms to wide, enveloping spaces
• External XLR/6.3 mm comboinput with preamp and phantom power

Dual-reel tape looper performance

At the heart of the experience is a dual-reel looper designed for real-time recording, overdub and advanced layering. The two reels are independent in tempo and volume and capture the post-effects mix.

• One-shot mode: waits for audio, then records a fixed-length loop
• Continuousmode: inspired by Frippertronics, records continuously, evolving with each pass
• Re-Pitch: repitch loops and melodic trigger from keyboard (loop becomes a playable instrument)
