EricaSynths Black EG2 is a retriggable, looping Eurorack Envelope Generator module designed to offer maximum flexibility in compact modular systems and experimental setups. With its adjustable gate length function, it can generate full ADSR envelopes even from very short triggers, making it ideal for trigger-only based sequencers.

Full ADSR envelope even with short triggers

One of the distinguishing features of the Black EG2 is the optional gate length adjustment. Even using a very short input trigger pulse, the module can generate a full ADSR envelope. This allows advanced dynamic control without the need for long gates from traditional sequencers.

Gate length is adjustable either manually or via CV control, offering extended creative possibilities for time-varying rhythmic and dynamic modulations.

Loop Mode with Full ADSR Cycle

In LOOP mode, the Black EG2 is not limited to a classic AD cycle, but generates a full ADSR envelope in cyclic mode. This also makes it usable as a complex LFO with curves that can be modeled via Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release parameters.

Ideal for experimental modular setups

At only 8HP wide and 25 mm deep, the module is also perfect for skiff houses. The wide time range allows for both ultra-rapid modulations and slow, atmospheric evolutions, adapting to electronic, ambient and advanced sound design genres.
