API TCS-II: Professional Channel Strip

TheAPI TCS-II Channel Strip is a complete input module that packs the best of API technology into a single 1U rack unit. With a microphone preamplifier, compressor, equalizer, and output level control, it offers the performance and sonic character of large API consoles in a small footprint.

API 512c Microphone Preamplifier.

The heart of the TCS-II is the renowned API 512c, with Mic, Line and Instrument inputs, adjustable gain and wide headroom. It offers linear frequency response and outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, ideal for capturing every sonic detail.

API 527A Compressor with THRUST®.

The API 527A is a multi-mode compressor with precise Threshold, Attack, Release and Ratio controls. The patented THRUST® circuit provides punch and presence, perfect for in-your-face tracks and powerful mixes.

API 550A Equalizer

The iconic API 550A offers 3 bands of EQ with selectable frequencies and up to ±12dB of boost/cut. The high and low bands can be set as shelving, while the built-in bandpass filter (50Hz - 15kHz) optimizes the signal.

API 325 Line Driver.

Derived directly from API consoles, the 325 Line Driver provides output power up to +30dBu, with level control and 10-segment LED metering, selectable between preamplifier output and line driver.

Advanced Features

All internal modules can be individually plugged in or bypassed. You can change signal path order (compressor after EQ), use sidechain input, and take advantage of balanced connections for maximum flexibility in the studio.
