The Schoeps Stereo Set CMC 6 + MK 21 is a professional microphone system consisting of two CMC 6 preamplifiers and two MK 21 wide cardioid capsules. This stereo set is designed for professional recording applications where natural reproduction of the sound environment with excellent spatial accuracy is required.
The CMC 6 preamplifier is part of the Schoeps Colette modular system and is compatible with all capsules in the series. Combined with the MK 21 capsule, which offers a wide cardioid pattern (wide cardioid), it enables natural sound pickup while maintaining good source separation.
The MK 21 capsule represents an ideal compromise between omnidirectional and cardioid. It offers a very natural room shot with a slight directionality that helps control direct sound and room reflections.
Because of its sound characteristics, this stereo set is particularly suitable for orchestral recordings, chamber ensembles, acoustic instruments, and ambient recording in the studio or on location.
The set includes two matched Schoeps capsules, two CMC 6 preamplifiers, two SG 20 boom adapters, two B 5 D windproofs, and a premium case for transporting and protecting the microphone system.
The Schoeps Stereo Set series is also available with other capsules from the Colette line, including MK 2, MK 2H, MK 22, MK 4, MK 41 and MK 5, to suit different professional recording needs.
