The WesAudio CALYPSO is a professional 8-channel AD/DA converter for 500 Series systems, designed to seamlessly integrate analog racks with modern digital workflows. Featuring high-resolution 24-bit conversion and an ultra-low jitter internal clock, CALYPSO delivers extremely accurate and stable audio quality, ideal for recording studios, mixing and mastering.

This module makes it easy to connect analog outboards and digital systems while maintaining transparent and reliable conversion.

Professional audio conversion for recording studios

CALYPSO supports sample rates up to 96 kHz via SMUX, with support for 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz. The converter uses high-quality components to provide wide dynamic range and extremely low distortion, making it ideal for professional audio recording and production applications.

Word Clock IN/OUT allows synchronization with other digital devices in the studio, ensuring a stable and perfectly synchronized audio chain.

Seamless integration with 500 Series racks and WesAudio TITAN

The WesAudio CALYPSO is designed to work with both standard 500 Series chassis and the WesAudio TITAN rack. The two DB25 connectors on the front panel make it easy to route audio signals to and from the rack or to external outboards.

When used in conjunction with the TITAN chassis, CALYPSO takes advantage of the I.A.C. (Internal Audio Connector) connection, allowing direct and flexible routing of signals between rack modules.

Software control and digital recall

Like all ng500 series devices, CALYPSO integrates with VST2, VST3, AAX and AU plugins. This allows various settings to be managed directly from the DAW, including module input source selection via an I.A.C. connection.

The system also supports digital recall of settings by connecting the unit via the front mini USB port or through the TITAN rack.

LCD display with channel metering

The built-in LCD display provides a clear overview of settings and allows channel levels to be monitored in real time. This makes configuring the converter quick and intuitive, facilitating system management even in complex production environments.
