Heritage Audio Super 8

8-channel Microphone Preamplifier with 24-bit/192kHz D/A

The Heritage Audio Super 8 is an eight-channel mic preamp that recreates the sound of the golden-era of British consoles. Announced at NAMM 2022, the Super 8 features high-end vintage preamps and pristine digital conversion in a compact rack-mount format.

With this Heritage Audio mic preamp, you get eight Class A ’73-style mic preamps offering 80 dB of gain on tap. On top of that, each input and output features exclusive Carnhill transformers, along with tantalum and Styroflex capacitors. The first two channels also feature a high-quality JFET D.I. and low-cut filters.

With premium 24-bit/192 kHz digital conversion and three digital output options (ADAT, SPDIF and AES/EBU), the Super 8 delivers classic British console tone straight to your DAW. For added flexibility, each channel has an alternative input so you can output the preamp to another piece of gear (like a compressor or EQ) and bring it back to the Super 8 for recording.

Combining the celebrated ’73-style sound with the flexibility of digital recording, the Heritage Audio Super 8 is a versatile multipurpose mic preamp you can take with you from session to session.

With the release of this mic preamp, Heritage Audio continues in their mission to update the gear of the golden age of recording for the modern studio. Founded in 2011 by engineer and producer, Peter Rodriguez, Heritage Audio has established itself as a brand rooted in the classic sounds of the past, but with an eye for current recording needs.

If you’re in the market for a vintage style 8 channel mic preamp with modern features, The Heritage Audio Super 8 should be at the top of your list.
