u-he Bazille is a powerful and deep software modular synthesizer from the Berlin Modular project. It combines digital oscillators based on Phase Distortion and FM with filters modeled on analog hardware. The result is a hybrid, experimental and flexible instrument perfect for sound designers, electronic music producers and sonic explorers.
Bazille's four oscillators include dedicated sections for pitch, FM, phase distortion and Fractal Resonance-a unique technique that transforms simple waves into complex, edgy sounds. Each oscillator covers a range from 0Hz to audio frequencies, so it can also be used as an LFO. With built-in mapping generators, custom waveforms can be created and modulations can be transformed in real time.
Bazille features 4 ADSR envelopes with modulable curves, 2 multiple LFOs, 2 mapping generators with up to 128 steps, and a modulation sequencer with morphing between 8 snapshots. The 4 multiplex modules allow crossfade, AM, RM and advanced signal mixing. Also includes inverter, quantizer, rectifier, lag generator and sample & hold.
An effects section with stereo delay, phaser, distortion (6 modes) and spring reverb complete the system. More than 1,700 factory presets are included, ideal for every style of electronic music, from ambient to the most experimental techno.
Bazille is available for macOS (10.10+), Windows (7+) and Linux. It supports AUv2, VST2/3, CLAP and AAX 64-bit formats. A compatible host and modern CPU is required to take full advantage of its capabilities.
