The BXx2 is the result of a collaboration between ALM and Feedback Modules, based on their single-channel PRE BX. The result is a two-channel version that retains the character of the original circuit and makes it even more practical inside a case: kick drums, bass, synths, or entire subgroups can run through it to gain warmth, presence, and that classic ’80s drum machine lo-fi tone.

Overdriven preamp with separate gain and level controls

Each channel has separate controls for input gain and output level. Turning up the gain pushes the preamp into saturation, delivering the rich, lively sound that BX mixers are famous for, while the level control lets you adjust the volume to where you need it. From subtle coloration to heavy drive, the balance is in your hands.

Shelving EQ to shape sound and drive

The high- and low-frequency shelving EQs give each channel a simple yet excellent tonal character. You can emphasize the body of a kick drum or the airiness of a hi-hat while simultaneously shaping the tone of the distortion: the same drive sounds very different depending on how you set the shelves.
