The Garden Listener is an innovative module that uses conductivity variations detected on the surface of living things to generate random MIDI and CV signals. Through its experimental design, it offers a creative new approach to generating control signals, allowing plants, people and other conductive objects to become sources of active modulation.
Real-time generated MIDI notes range from C-1 to C8 and are sent through the MIDI output to control hardware synthesizers or virtual instruments. Each note is also transformed into an analog CV signal (0-5V), with modifiable behavior via the octave selector.
Trigger and Gate are activated with each new note generated. The respective attenuators allow the output level (0-5V) to be adjusted. CV behavior can be limited to specific octaves for controlled signal generation.
