The Neve 1073 SPX is the single-channel rack-mount version of the Neve 1073, built to exact specifications and using matched components to ensure maximum fidelity to the original sound. The Neve 1073 is a microphone preamplifier module with equalizer, a replica of the 1970s models considered by many to be the true essence of the Neve sound.

Originally built for the classic Neve 80 series consoles, these class A modules are designed to accept both mic and line signals. Low noise floor, low distortion and extremely high headroom ensure performance at the highest level at all times.

The equalization section is three-band; The high-frequency shelving section, with variable gain/attenuation /- 16dB, is fixed frequency (12kHz). For low frequencies, shelving /- 16dB, a step potentiometer selects four different positions (35 Hz, 60 Hz, 110 Hz, 220 Hz). The midrange section is semiparametric with fixed Q, variable gain/attenuation /- 18dB, and step potentiometer to select six different frequencies. The module also has a high-pass filter with a slope of 18 dB per octave.

The Neve 1073 SPX version combines a classic Neve 1073 module with several extra features such as built-in DI input, phantom power, input signal selector, signal meter output control, and front I/O connectors to easily connect microphones and instruments. Features an external PSU that can accept different types of voltages. Optional digital I/O card available separately.
