Active 3-way midfield reference monitor with ATL™ bass loading and sub extension

Adding a PMC8-2 SUB unit to a PMC6-2 monitor easily reconfigures the system into PMC's renowned XBD twin-cabinet format. This configuration combines the unparalleled clarity and resolution of the PMC6-2 with a perfectly integrated active sub, creating a full-range system ideal for high-end music production.

In the case of the PMC6-2, the XBD mode reinforces the low-end output of the LF drivers of the main speaker, significantly increasing headroom and extending the response down to 25 Hz, for authoritative and effortless listening at all times.

Simple configuration and control

To set up the PMC6-2 XBD system, connect the input directly to the PMC6-2 and add an AES3 cable to bring the "through" output of the main monitor to the PMC8-2 SUB. The two cabinets can be connected to a LAN or directly to each other via the network ports. By selecting the dedicated "XBD" mode, the DSP transparently combines both units into one larger scale monitor. Detailed configuration is available from the rear controls or via browser with SoundAlign™, where, when connected, the speakers appear as a single PMC6-2 XBD unit.
