PSP Audioware PSP BinAmp is a plug-in that faithfully reproduces the Class A tube preamp of the legendary Binson Echorec 2, one of the most iconic magnetic echo units in the history of professional audio. More than just a saturation simulator, PSP BinAmp captures the warm, musical, and three-dimensional character of the original circuit, adding depth, harmonics, and personality to any audio source.

PSP BinAmp: The Character of the Binson Echorec 2 Preamplifier

Inspired by the famous Echorec 2 produced by Binson in the 1960s, PSP BinAmp focuses entirely on the behavior of the original tube preamp. The Class A circuitry with triode tubes generates even harmonics and extremely musical saturation, capable of making the sound warmer, fuller, and more engaging without sounding aggressive.

Analog Saturation for Any Source

The PSP BinAmp is perfectly suited for drums, vocals, electric pianos, synthesizers, drum machines, loops, reamped guitars, electric bass, and any track that needs more analog character. The saturation can be applied very subtly or pushed to achieve a pronounced vintage tone.

Complete control over the sound character

Drive, Character, and Blend

The plug-in provides dedicated controls to adjust the level of saturation, the preamp character, and the amount of processed signal via the Blend control, allowing you to easily create parallel saturation effects as well.

Filters, Variation, and Signal Management

PSP BinAmp features a high-pass filter, high-frequency roll-off control, a -20 dB input attenuator, input and output polarity reversal, and the exclusive Variation feature, which introduces subtle tonal differences between the various instances of the plug-in, simulating the natural behavior of different analog hardware units.

PSP Audioware BinAmp for Mixing, Production, and Sound Design

Thanks to high-quality internal processing, quadruple internal sampling, and ultra-low latency, PSP BinAmp is an ideal tool for producers, sound engineers, and sound designers who want to add the character of vintage Italian gear to modern audio productions while maintaining maximum flexibility and operational precision.
