TERRA: New Executive Techniques and Sound Design Without Limits

TERRA's innovative keyboard design invites you to explore new performance techniques, covering the full range of a grand piano. You can tune each note with an incredible accuracy of 125 steps per semitone. To achieve this range in such a compact design, TERRA incorporates a unique pitch shifting system using four additional sensors, offering 16 keyboard transposition variations, including up to 3 octaves up and down, fifths, fourths, thirds and tones. This not only provides the full range of a grand piano, but introduces a whole new approach to playing melodies and chords.

Expressive Control and Advanced Digital Synthesis

The keyboard consists of 12 note sensors with velocity and pressure sensitivity, allowing manual creation of slow attacks and vibrato. Four dynamic sensors offer timbre modification and control, while two hold sensors allow locking of timbre and note status. An internal three-axis motion sensor allows a variety of different modulations to be created through simple, intuitive hand and body movements. TERRA is entirely digital and contains 32 complex synthesis algorithms, each carefully designed to be a complete and flexible musical instrument. The goal is to free the musician from exhausting programming, allowing him or her to focus directly on the music and performance, following imagination and inspiration.

A Bridge Between Acoustic and Digital: Design and Quality

TERRA offers the best of both worlds: the direct, intuitive tactile connection of acoustic instruments and the flexibility and versatility of synthesizers. Although the sound generation is digital, TERRA boasts a unique, custom high-quality analog part that ensures rich, natural, clear, and powerful sound. The housing is carved from a solid piece of wood, making each instrument unique. The brass TERRA logo is inlaid into the wooden housing, emphasizing the attention to detail. TERRA has an extremely simple interface to access all functions, including the 96 presets stored directly on the sensors, without the use of displays. Instead, data is displayed and edited via a triangle of 6 LEDs in the center. A built-in FX processor with stereo output makes it a perfect stand-alone instrument for performance.
