The Korg PS-3300 FS is a faithful reissue of the extremely rare analog synthesizer designed by Fumio Mieda and produced between 1977 and 1981. Known for its incredible modular and polyphonic architecture, it now returns in a full-size version with updated technology, keeping the charm and sound of the original intact.
The structure of the PS-3300 FS includes three independent modules (PSU-3301) each with 49 full analog voices: each key has its own oscillator, filter, envelope and amplifier. A true rarity even today. The PSU-3302 unit provides the utilities and mixer, while the PS-3010 keyboard is part of the complete system.
The PS-3300 FS integrates a panel memory function with 256 presets, USB and MIDI connectivity, and a dedicated software library for managing sounds. The 12 micro-tuning knobs per module and 3-band resonator complete a professional set-up designed for contemporary use.
According to Yoshihito Yamada, chief engineer at Korg, this design is not just a technical reissue but a transmission of Korg knowledge. The PS-3300 FS is a living tribute to the history of analog synthesis.
