The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Quad Gen 2 AC Pro Analog Classics Pro is a desktop Thunderbolt audio interface designed for musicians, producers, and content creators who want the sound quality of the Apollo X Gen 2 series in a compact form factor. With two Unison™ microphone preamps, next-generation audio conversion, and a built-in QUAD Core DSP processor, it offers everything you need to record, produce, mix, and master to professional standards.
This version includes the UAD Analog Classics Pro bundle, which provides over 80 professional Universal Audio plug-ins featuring faithful emulations of historic preamps, compressors, equalizers, reverbs, tape machines, amplifiers, and processors used in the world’s top recording studios.
The two Unison™ microphone preamps let you record in real time using Universal Audio’s renowned emulations. Unison technology automatically adjusts the input’s impedance, gain, and circuit behavior, recreating the behavior of the original analog gear.
Emulations of Neve, API, Avalon, Manley, SSL, and many other manufacturers let you instantly capture the sonic character of the consoles and preamps that have shaped the history of music production.
The second-generation Apollo X features completely redesigned A/D and D/A converters, offering an even wider dynamic range, extremely low distortion, and exceptionally faithful sound reproduction. Conversion up to 24-bit / 192 kHz allows you to capture every detail of the performance while maintaining transparency and precision.
D/A monitoring achieves a dynamic range of up to 129 dB, significantly improving the listening experience during recording, mixing, and mastering.
The QUAD Core DSP processor allows you to use Universal Audio plug-ins directly during recording with virtually zero latency. Compressors, equalizers, channel strips, reverbs, delays, dynamic processors, and amplifiers are processed by the internal DSP, freeing up the computer’s CPU.
The UAD Analog Classics Pro bundle includes over 80 professional plug-ins dedicated to recording, mixing, mastering, and music production, offering one of the most comprehensive software libraries available on the market right from the start.
The Auto-Gain feature automatically adjusts the preamps to the optimal level, speeding up session setup and reducing the risk of clipping. Apollo Monitor Correction, developed in collaboration with Sonarworks®, allows you to calibrate monitors and headphones for an extremely linear and reliable response during mixing.
Bass Management allows you to easily integrate a subwoofer into your monitoring system, improving control over low frequencies and making the Apollo Twin X Gen 2 ideal for immersive productions and post-production work as well.
The UAD Console app lets you manage routing, ultra-low-latency monitoring, Plug-In Scenes, Auto-Gain, and Bass Management from a single, intuitive interface. Integration with LUNA also enables a workflow inspired by classic analog consoles while maintaining all the flexibility of modern DAWs.
The Apollo Twin X Quad Gen 2 AC Pro Analog Classics Pro is compatible with LUNA, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton Live, and the leading professional audio workstations available for Mac and Windows.
Thanks to Thunderbolt technology, you can connect up to four Apollo interfaces, providing up to 128 channels of professional I/O. The Apollo Twin X Quad Gen 2 is therefore both a complete desktop interface and the ideal starting point for building a professional, ever-expanding Apollo system.
