3-Way Active Studio Monitor with Dual-Force™ Dual Opposing Woofers and MEME™ Technology

The second model in the Footprint line is the Footprint 02, a similar but smaller active nearfield speaker at an even more affordable price that offers the same uncompromising sound quality and design features as the Footprint 01.

These two models not only share looks and quality, but also feature the same signature Barefoot designs: opposing subwoofers with Dual-Force™ technology, dual-ring radiator tweeters, and Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation™, or MEME, technology, already found in the flagship MicroMain and MiniMain series.

The FP-02 bears a striking resemblance to its larger counterpart, the FP-01, with two opposing side-mounted paper cone subwoofers, a dual-ring radiator tweeter, and an aluminum cone midrange set in an aluminum front sub-baffle.

Rounded corners and edges minimize cabinet diffraction. The front baffle speaker configuration is immediately recognizable, with the tweeter positioned below the midrange, an unconventional geometry that creates an acoustic focus in the center of the cabinet.

Inside, they are almost identical: the FP-02 houses a 2-way DSP crossover, two Class D amplifier modules, as befits the small size of the cabinet, which is about 60 percent the volume of the Footprint 01. Dual opposing 6.5-inch subwoofers provide deep bass extension.

The Footprint 02 is small but powerful as it offers all the features of a Barefoot Sound speaker: exemplary sound quality, three-dimensional imaging, and wide dynamic range.
