The Solid State Logic Pure Drive Octo brings PureDrive™ preamplifier technology into the most flexible and modern form. Derived directly from the ORIGIN console, this 8-channel preamp offers three selectable modes for each channel: Clean, Classic Drive and Asymmetric Drive. From absolute transparency to harmonically rich analog color, every sonic nuance is at your fingertips.

Digital control and absolute precision

Pure Drive Octo uses digitally controlled analog components: no mechanical potentiometers, just maximum reliability and instant recall of settings. Each channel has +48V phantom power, polarity reversal, 3rd order high-pass filter, step gain control up to +65 dB, and Trim control with 1 dB accuracy.

Versatile connectivity for every workflow

Equipped with eight combo XLR inputs on the rear and four front Hi-Z inputs with automatic detection, Pure Drive Octo adapts to every situation. Three D-sub connections allow flexible routing for line and insert signals. AES/EBU and ADAT outputs and a built-in USB interface make this preamplifier a complete digital hub for any studio or live setup.

Built-in sound card and mastering level conversion

The built-in USB card supports up to 8 audio inputs and 24 audio outputs (@44.1/48kHz), with 192kHz / 32-Bit A/D conversion. The unit can also route DAW streams directly to AES and ADAT outputs, offering maximum routing flexibility. The automatically adjusted word clock ensures flawless synchronization with the rest of the digital system.
