X-Rack is a modular rack system with Total Recall ™ that uses the exact same circuit design and manufacturing as the Duality and AWS 900+ consoles and delivers classic SSL sound in an absolutely versatile form.

Each X-Rack chassis can hold up to eight modules in any configuration and there are also eight different module types available: from the ‘SuperAnalogue Mic Pre’ & ‘Dynamics’ modules for a premium voice recording system, to the section ‘EQ’ & ‘Dynamics’ to create channel strips of processors with the typical SSL sound, to the ‘VHD Input’ module for an addition of warmth and “paste”, up to the Stereo Bus Compressor module as “audio glue” for the final mix and the ‘Master Bus’ & ‘Line Input’ module to create an analog monitor and foldback system.

X-Rack offers an absolutely excellent quality analog recording and summing path and is the perfect flexible and customizable solution for both studio and live settings. The X-Rack chassis is a 4U 19 “rack enclosure with premium quality, MIDI IN / OUT connections and a Mix Bus Link port that allows you to connect two X-Racks in cascade.
The chassis also contains the Total Recall ™ system which allows you to store up to 32 system snapshots directly on the unit (snapshots can also be saved as MIDI SysEx).
