Make Noise is a U.S.-based company founded in 2008 by Tony Rolando, a self-taught musical instrument designer and former technician at Moog Music. His passion for electronics began by reading books on amateur radio in the library, building circuits for art installations - such as a light-controlled mixer for Simon Lee's opera Bus Obscura - and playing in various musical ensembles.
After a period of creative isolation in the mountains, Rolando started Make Noise in Asheville, North Carolina. What began as an experiment in forgotten musical technologies evolved into an independent production reality, with a team designing and building distinctive Eurorack modules.
Make Noise synthesizers are not simply instruments, but experiences in sound exploration. Each module is conceived as an active collaboration with the musician to generate unique performances, pushing conventional sonic boundaries and redefining the way music is imagined and perceived.
