The Pope Audio Dirty-DC is a desktop analog chorus module that faithfully replicates the circuitry of the famous Dirty-C in standalone format. Designed to deliver the same warm, lo-fi sonic character as the legendary Roland RE-501, this device is a compact and affordable solution for recording studios, musicians and producers.
At the heart of the Dirty-DC is an authentic Bucket Brigade MN-3007 chip, the same chip used in the iconic RE-501 chorus. This ensures rich, deep and organic modulation, ideal for adding movement and spaciousness to any audio source.
The entire signal path is fully analog, ensuring natural and uncompromising sound quality. The result is a chorus with distinctive character, perfect for musical productions that require warmth and personality.
The Dirty-DC offers great versatility thanks to its balanced connections and pseudo stereo L/R outputs, which allow for a wet/dry signal similar to the original RE-501. The instrument input also allows direct use in guitar pedals, while the output can also be exploited for reamp operations.
The module includes a footswitch input for on/off control of the effect and a dedicated expression pedal input for modulation speed adjustment, making it perfect in both studio and live settings.
Handcrafted in the UK, the Pope Audio Dirty-DC combines high build quality and compact size. The external 24V DC power supply ensures operational stability and easy integration into any setup.
