The WesAudio ngLEVELER is a next-generation analog automation system designed for advanced control of levels and signal routing in the studio. Designed as an operations center for hybrid analog/digital studios, it offers 16 channels of analog automation with full recall via DAW plug-ins or HUI controllers.
Despite digital control, the audio path remains fully analog, providing high headroom, extremely low noise, and the ability to add analog harmonic saturation to each channel.
The ngLEVELER allows you to automate analog signal levels directly from the DAW. All settings can be saved and recalled automatically during session loading thanks to the Total Recall function.
The system has no physical controls on the front panel and is designed to be managed completely via:
This approach allows extremely precise control of levels with full automation during production and mixing.
One of the main uses of the WesAudio ngLEVELER is level management in the analog studio chain. The device allows precise control of levels between converters, outboards, and summing mixers, always keeping the signal at the optimum operating point.
By using ngLEVELER between the converters and the summing stage, the signal level can be automated without altering the behavior of the compressors or other analog processors in the chain.
Many analog devices work best when they receive signals at specific levels. With ngLEVELER you can increase the input level to an analog processor while keeping the output level constant, allowing you to easily find the ideal saturation point.
Each channel incorporates a proprietary THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) control that allows you to add analog saturation to the signal. This feature enriches the mix with musical harmonics, enhancing presence, depth and sonic character.
Saturation can be used very lightly to add analog warmth or more prominently to add more color to the signal.
The ngLEVELER incorporates advanced features for managing recording and mix sessions:
These functions make the device particularly useful as a control center for complex recording sessions.
The system integrates seamlessly into modern production workflows thanks to plug-in control and compatibility with HUI controllers. Automation can be recorded directly into the DAW or performed via hardware controllers.
The device uses DB-25 analog connections for integration with patchbays and professional systems, while digital control can be via USB or Ethernet, offering maximum flexibility in studio integration.
