The DPA 4560 Binaural Headset Micro is a stereo headset microphone designed for immersive binaural recordings. Using two miniaturized omnidirectional capsules from the 4060 CORE series, this system allows the sound environment to be captured extremely realistically, replicating the perception of the human ear.

Binaural recording for immersive 3D audio

Binaural recording is a technique that uses two microphones positioned like a listener's ears to recreate a three-dimensional sound scene. When heard through headphones, the result is an immersive sound experience in which the listener perceives direction, depth and distance of sounds.

The DPA 4560 takes advantage of this technique by mounting two matched omnidirectional microphones with ±1.5 dB sensitivity tolerance. This coupling ensures an extremely natural and coherent stereo output.

High-fidelity DPA 4060 CORE capsules

The microphones used in the 4560 are based on DPA 4060 CORE technology, known for its outstanding sound quality and ability to handle high sound pressure levels up to 134 dB SPL before distortion.

The extended frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz ensures full reproduction of the sound spectrum, while the highly accurate omnidirectional pattern allows natural imaging of the surroundings without requiring precise orientation toward the sound source.

Ergonomic headset and discreet design

The headset stand is derived from the design of the well-known DPA 4266 Flex and is designed to provide comfort and stability even during extended use. The system easily adapts to different head shapes and ear sizes, keeping the microphones in a stable and nearly invisible position.

The included foam wind filters ensure proper positioning of the microphone in the ear and help reduce wind noise and unwanted noise.

Ideal for podcasts, VR and immersive content

The DPA 4560 is particularly suited for immersive audio productions such as narrative podcasts, virtual reality content, binaural video, sound design, and environmental recordings for cinema and digital media.

Online platforms and modern media content are increasingly adopting immersive audio techniques, making binaural recording a key tool for creating immersive and realistic sound experiences.
