Neumann KH 120 II AES67: the evolution of the reference nearfield

The Neumann KH 120 II stems from the same concept as the acclaimed KH 120, but has been thoroughly redesigned to elevate performance on all key parameters: deeper bass extension, higher SPL capability, and even tighter linearity. The result is an extremely reliable nearfield monitor for critical mix and production decisions, with sound full of detail and consistent output across different listening positions.

DSP, linear phase and room calibration with MA 1

At the heart of the KH 120 II is the electronics with integrated DSP, which enables linear phase crossovers and optimized phase response (120 Hz - 16 kHz, ±45°) with low latency (< 2.6 ms). In combination with the Neumann MA 1 Automatic Alignment system, the monitor can adapt the response to the room, improving tonal balance at the listening point and making more reliable choices on low-end, presence and depth.

Updated acoustic design: MMD™ and MDF cabinet

The redesigned cabinet is made of MDF for greater rigidity and sustainability, while the Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide contributes to controlled dispersion and an especially sharp stereo image. Extremely tight tolerances (±0.5 dB) promote inter-unit coherence and a stable soundstage, useful in both control room and multi-monitor installations.

Comprehensive connections and integration into AoIP/immersive systems.

In addition to analog XLR and digital S/PDIF (RCA) input, this version integrates AES67 network connectivity for Audio over IP workflows. The KH 120 II can also be combined with other speakers in the KH line to create advanced stereo, surround and immersive configurations, adapting to recording, post-production, broadcasting and music creation.
