The PMC 6 XBD system combines the precision of the PMC 6 two-way monitor with the power of the PMC 8 SUB subwoofer, creating a perfectly integrated 3-way studio monitor. This configuration transforms a pair of nearfield monitors into a system capable of delivering the performance of a larger midfield system, but with a smaller footprint. Frequency response is extended down to 25Hz, providing incredibly deep and defined low frequency reproduction.

Greater Clarity and Headroom

Because the driver of the PMC 6 is no longer burdened with the reproduction of the lowest frequencies (handled by the sub), distortion is dramatically reduced. This not only increases the available headroom, but also frees up the midrange, which gains amazing clarity and realism, giving voices and instruments unparalleled depth and accuracy.

Simple Configuration and Total Control via DSP

Setting up the 6 XBD system is an instant process. Simply connect the input signal to the PMC 6 monitor and use an AES3 digital cable to send the "through" output to the PMC 8 SUB. Once the dedicated "XBD" mode is activated, the built-in DSP merges the two cabinets into one coherent monitoring system. Management is via rear-panel controls or through the intuitive, browser-accessible SoundAlign™ software, which recognizes the setup as a single PMC 6 XBD unit.
