The WesAudio _PANDORA is a 500 series all-analog stereo multiband compressor designed to offer extremely precise dynamic control over multiple frequency areas. By combining analog VCA compression and digital recall, PANDORA combines the sonic character of analog hardware with the flexibility of modern DAW-based workflow.

With three independent compression bands and an advanced crossover system, the device enables precise shaping of low, mid, and high frequencies, enhancing balance, punch, and definition in the mix.

3-Band Analog Multiband Compression

At the heart of the WesAudio _PANDORA is an analog multiband compressor with three independent sections. Each band has a dedicated VCA compressor, allowing the dynamics of low, mid and high frequencies to be controlled separately.

Adjustable crossovers cover two main ranges:

• 40 Hz - 2 kHz
• 2 kHz - 15 kHz

This makes it possible to intervene with extreme precision on specific issues in the mix, while keeping the compression behavior natural at all times.

Dedicated harmonic distortion for each band

Each band includes a THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) circuit optimized for its own frequency range. This allows you to add controlled analog saturation and enrich the sonic character of the signal with musical harmonics.

The result is a fuller, more defined and three-dimensional mix with the typical musicality of analog processors.

Advanced dynamic control with independent VCAs

With independent VCA compressors for each band, PANDORA offers extremely flexible dynamic control. You can selectively intervene on problematic frequencies without affecting the rest of the signal.

This approach is particularly effective for:

• controlling overly dynamic low frequencies
• managing sibilants and aggressive high frequencies
• reinforcing the presence of mids

Sidechain filters for more precise compression

The compressor integrates dedicated sidechain filters to improve compression behavior on different frequency bands.

HPF filters for the low band

LPF filters for the high band

• 3 kHz
• 6 kHz
• 9 kHz

These filters isolate the frequencies that activate the compression circuit, providing more precise and musical dynamic control.

Parallel compression with MIX control

The MIX knob makes it easy to use parallel compression, allowing the compressed signal to be mixed with the original signal. This function is especially useful for maintaining the natural dynamics of the mix while adding punch and control.

Full integration with DAW and Total Recall

The WesAudio _PANDORA supports full control via plug-ins compatible with VST2, VST3, AU and AAX. All settings can be saved and recalled directly within the DAW session thanks to the Total Recall function.

The device also supports analog automation directly from the DAW, allowing you to dynamically control compressor parameters during the mix.

Compatibility with 500 series and ng500

PANDORA is fully compatible with standard 500 series chassis and WesAudio's ng500 system, such as the _TITAN chassis. Using the ng500 system, multiple modules can be controlled via a single USB or Ethernet connection.
