The ALM Busy Circuits MEGA-TANG Expander 1, model MT-EX1, is the expansion module designed for the MEGA-TANG stereo VCA mixer. In just 4 HP, it adds a line-level mono input with level and send controls, two additional fixed-level inputs with dedicated send controls, and a fixed-level stereo input to the mixer. A compact way to increase the number of sources handled by your Eurorack mixer without sacrificing the simplicity of the layout designed for live performance.

More Inputs for the ALM MEGA-TANG Stereo VCA Mixer

When the MEGA-TANG’s four channels are no longer enough, the MT-EX1 lets you bring new sources into the mix while maintaining the same workflow. Each added input integrates seamlessly into the mixer’s architecture, including the effects send path.

Line-level mono input with level and send controls

The mono input accepts line-level signals and features a level control and a send control. This lets you bring a drum machine, a desktop synth, or any external source into the mix and send it to an effects processor connected to the MEGA-TANG, such as ALM’s MFX.

Two fixed inputs with send control

The two additional inputs operate at a fixed level and each has its own send control. They are the ideal solution for system channels that do not require continuous level adjustment but that you still want to send to reverb or delay.

Stereo input for daisy-chaining multiple MEGA-TANG units

The fixed-level stereo input is particularly useful for daisy-chaining multiple MEGA-TANG units: connect the mix output of one unit to the stereo input of the expander installed on another, and you’ll get a larger, modular mixer tailored to the needs of your rig.
