Soma Laboratory builds instruments that challenge the very definition of a synthesizer: organic, physical, unpredictable and deeply musical.

Soma Laboratory was founded on the vision of Vlad Kreimer, an electronic engineer and musician now based in Berlin, with a radical goal: to create musical instruments that reflect the complexity and unpredictability of biological systems. Soma instruments have no presets, no displays and often no traditional keyboard. Instead, they invite musicians to interact through touch, physical connections and direct contact with electronic circuits. The result is an approach to synthesis capable of producing sounds unlike those of any conventional synthesizer.

The Lyra-8 is the instrument that introduced Soma Laboratory to the world. Eight oscillators are interconnected through an intricate network of modulation and feedback, allowing each voice to influence the others and creating an organic, constantly evolving sonic behaviour. Its patch points enable complex feedback paths that continuously reshape the instrument's response, making every performance unique. The Lyra-8 Black Beast is the special black edition. The more compact Lyra-4 brings the same philosophy to a four-oscillator instrument.

The Cosmos is Soma Laboratory's texture processor, combining looping, delay and spatial sound manipulation into a uniquely creative instrument. It continuously records incoming audio and transforms it into evolving sonic landscapes through a completely tactile workflow, without relying on a display. The ENNER is an electroacoustic instrument that uses the human body as an integral part of its control circuitry, translating hand contact into signals that shape synthesis and filtering. The ETHER V2 is an electromagnetic noise receiver that makes normally inaudible electrical interference audible, turning the surrounding environment into a unique sound source.
