With Altiverb 8 XL, you have access to an unprecedented collection of impulse responses (IRs) recorded by Audio Ease in spaces of all kinds: historic recording studios, concert halls, churches, caves, home environments, and even curious places like bathrooms, museums, or sewer pipes. IR Atmos are authentic and multi-channel, offering extraordinary three-dimensional rendering.

Full control and scalable interface

The new visual browser makes selecting IRs quick and intuitive: just click on images of spaces to load them instantly. Built-in tools allow you to precisely modify the impulse response: decay controls, time-synchronized pre-delay, four-band equalizer, gating, reverse, modulation, and more. The interface is scalable and responsive (except AU).

Dolby Atmos support and advanced workflow

Altiverb 8 XL offers full support for Dolby Atmos up to 9.1.6 channels, including automatic pan-following and dynamic cloud mixing. It also includes tools for creating custom IRs and an advanced mixer with meters and delays for each output.

Compatibility and licensing

Compatible with macOS Intel and Apple Silicon, Altiverb 8 XL works in VST3, AU and AAX. License can be activated on computer or iLok USB key (no longer required). Fully backward compatible with Altiverb 7.
